CTMA Project #: 140963
Problem: Current Marine Corps Logistics ERP still has capability gaps, 300+ pending system changes, multiple Engineer Change Proposals focused on a lack of Maintenance and Supply sustainment and management, degraded reporting capability, and little to no data analytics. All of which have impacted readiness and the Marine Corps’ ability to optimize system use, enhance ground equipment readiness, and effectively and efficiently expend resources.
Benefit: Properly developed and deployed, ERP systems are beneficial to the operations, and therefore bottom lines, of manufacturers, distributors, sustainers, and their customers. ERP systems help with coordination within and between departments of companies, which reduce time and money needed to be spent on logistics, thus improving profit margins for the companies and lowering cost of goods for the general public.
Solution/Approach: The proposed solution is to develop a Sustainment and Maintenance Readiness Platform and associated tools to provide a software knowledge management system for capturing, analyzing, graphing, and reporting field data.
