The US Navy and Marine Corps are partnering with industry and academia on an initiative to develop an enhanced set of tools and processes that provide an integrated approach to engineering and logistical tasks to allow the DOD to meet its goal of maintaining at least 75% mission readiness for its aircraft. Its goal will be to develop a model for improving the integration of logistical and engineering tools to optimize safety, readiness, and cost.
