The US Navy is partnering with industry and academia on a multiphase CTMA initiative to integrate the demand and supply planning processes, identify process controls and accountability standards, and develop scalable process automation initiatives with the capability to iterate divergent data sources. Through identification and measurement of the readiness value against the cost to generate/sustain readiness, leadership will be provided with tools and data to inform and balance risk tradeoffs and resource allocation decisions. Furthermore, this solution will demonstrate process improvements enabling improved material availability, decreased total cost to sustain and operate, improved customer service, and improved logistic response times.
