The US Department of Defense is partnering with industry and academia on an initiative to address the management of data across multiple systems by establishing a refined data ecosystem. The primary objective is to foster a culture of data sharing and collaboration while establishing secure and standardized data-sharing protocols that underpin the exchange of information while safeguarding sensitive data.
Central to the desired solution must be an innovative toolset that involves the systematic organization and enhancement of data to make it more manageable, meaningful, and insightful. This toolset would serve as the linchpin for data prioritization and governance. Rapid data integration with the establishment of robust data governance policies and practices creates a unified view of data, ensuring quality and consistency.
Specific goals will include:
- Documentation of data ingestion
- Data curation and documentation
- Integration of toolset key performance parameters (kpps)
- Expansion of data sources
- Integration of backlogged LOGCELL enhancements
