The US Department of Defense is partnering with industry and academia on a multiphase CTMA initiative to establish a performance management system that can quickly and accurately summarize shipyard and supplier performance and provide actionable information to address issues to optimize schedule performance.

For Phase II, this work will be expanded, and the project team will be expected to build upon the throughput-based performance management system developed in Phase I to automate schedule performance analysis, establish a root causes identification process for identified performance challenges, and demonstrate the approach to other production groups.
