The US Department of Defense is partnering with industry and academia on an initiative to bridge the technology gap in flexible, data-driven decision-making tools that can adapt to existing processes for asset management and resource allocation.

Through the use of OptiSource ^TM, a propriety system, the overall goal will be to establish configuration, implementation, and refinement of the solution to address maintenance and sustainment challenges across public and private sectors.

Specific objectives include:

• Advance the technology to create a highly adaptable platform that can be rapidly customized for various industries and agencies without requiring extensive process overhauls.
• Develop and refine predictive analytics capabilities to enhance forecasting accuracy for maintenance needs and resource allocation.
• Create a scalable model for implementation that can be easily adopted.
