STIIX (Solve Technicalities with Imagination, Innovation, and eXcitement) is a workforce development company that introduces youth to different STEM skills and careers in various industry sectors, like aerospace and manufacturing. Founded by an engineer from a family of educators, the STIIX team creates meaningful and engaging STEM learning experiences aimed to spur curiosity and career awareness in youth. Currently, STIIX partners with hundreds of school districts and community-based organizations around the world. The STIIX team is equipped to partner with companies, from all sectors, to help craft a personalized corporate social responsibility strategy that educates the company’s community on relevant in-demand careers.
STIIX provides award-winning STEM kits, programs, special projects, events, technology, free guest speaking, curriculum development, and more. Current projects include introducing students to the skills required to build bridges, wind turbines, glider planes, prosthetics, catapults, boats, rockets, water filtration systems, racecars, towers, solar energy systems, HVAC systems, and more.
The team has also created the free STIIX-Ville app—combining cutting-edge augmented reality (AR) technology with instructional videos—to engage students as engineers to solve the infrastructure-related needs of the rapidly growing STIIX-Ville community. This inquiry-based app is designed to be a fun, memorable, and impactful experience for students, introducing them to STEM careers and the trades.
The STIIX team works one-on-one with clients to custom-build projects that meet their needs and unique objectives. All projects come with required material, instructor support, align with the latest Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) and Career and Technical Education (CTE) Standards, and kids have a blast building them!
