The US Department of Defense is partnering with industry and academia on an initiative to provide research support and actionable recommendations to an Office of Industrial Base Policy, closing critical knowledge gaps and establishing a framework for effective future policy design and implementation. The overall goal will be to identify a series of best practices and propose approaches that will enable better collaboration between government and industry focused on operational readiness as well as the maintenance, repair, and sustainment of military systems.

The selected industry team will be expected to employ a blend of qualitative and quantitative research methods to generate a range of targeted deliverables.
