The US Department of Defense is partnering with industry and academia on a multiphase CTMA initiative to reduce the impacts of counterfeit parts and products on business operations and viability. The overall goal is to provide critical infrastructure that enhances prototype experiment and testing requirements focused on counterfeit detection activities.

The selected industry team will develop, integrate and demonstrate deployable infrastructure, as well as command, control, and communication (DIC3) and mobile assurance lab (MAL) capabilities to promote innovation and rapid acquisition programs and ensure material authenticity and pedigree across the maintenance and sustainment supply chain.

Phase II will leverage the successes from phase I to accomplish a global shipping assessment and execution that evaluates MAL tactics, techniques, and procedures; provides warehouse modifications to support project initiatives; and provides additional subject matter expertise and project management.
