The US Department of War is partnering with industry and academia on an initiative to build on the success of the first phase of this initiative, which established a proof-of-concept software solution for optimizing maintenance scheduling, resource allocation, and short/long-term planning.

The objective of Phase II is to move beyond development and testing to the strategic integration and broader deployment of this validated solution.

Specific objectives include:

  • Advance the software to create a highly adaptable platform that can be rapidly customized for various industries and agencies without requiring extensive process overhauls
  • Develop and refine predictive analytics capabilities within the software to enhance forecasting accuracy for maintenance needs and resource allocation
  • Create a scalable model for software implementation that can be easily adopted
