Effective data management is critical to ensure adequate supplies of power and water for industrial production. A current CTMA initiative aims to help with that by standardizing the collection of infrastructure data to improve data management to secure water and energy resilience. The project team is developing consistent, repeatable, validated processes and methodologies for data-driven modeling and decisions that lead to greater energy and water resilience.
- The project has three focus areas: providing policy and guidance, data governance, and cross-industry partnerships to support the efforts.
- Part of the data governance being explored is the effective use of AI in securing resource resilience.
- Along with this framework, the team developed a data governance application called TRAIL (Trusted Registry for Asset Insight and Lineage).
