The new waveform technique was proved, in a contested environment, to significantly enhance the communication system by enabling larger amount of data to pass through a fixed low bandwidth data stream. The novel technologies demonstrated in this effort can serve as an example to commercial industry and the public on how these technologies can be utilized to update obsolete or aging legacy systems without having to replace all the original equipment which can lead to significant cost savings.
