Artificial intelligence and machine learning are playing an increasingly essential role in nearly every industry and throughout the federal government. Initiatives like the Department of Energy’s Genesis Mission and the DoW AI platform, GenAI.mil are only two examples of efforts to utilize and expand the use of AI capabilities in the federal government. CTMA has also been conducting many projects to that effect. Three described in this article are focused on asset readiness solutions, applications for data analytics, and naval predictive maintenance.

• The Predictive Asset Readiness solution, created through a CTMA collaboration, uses ML models to optimize resources and mission planning by providing continuously updated data analytics and predictions of an asset’s future condition.
• Another CTMA initiative developed and delivered a suite of advanced AI/ML capabilities to optimize Army warfighter readiness via data-driven insights, scenario-based forecasting, and synchronized planning across force generation, training, equipping, and deployment.
• NAVSEA and industry partners worked together to develop the Digital Maintenance Advisor, a tool that applies AI and ML to enhance operational readiness by integrating real-time sensor data with historical maintenance records to identify potential equipment issues before they occur.
