Establishing a zero-trust framework is a top priority for the DoW. With a “never trust, always verify” approach in place, data can be created, stored, and shared in a secure environment. An NCMS project is working with multiple industry partners to expand the zero-trust data fabric in the Air Force. The CTMA initiative is establishing that zero-trust ecosystem and incorporating it with the Air Forces’ product lifecycle management system.
- The Air Force is focused on full zero-trust integration by 2027.
- Using an established Trusted Intelligence for Technology, Analytics, and Networks (TITAN) platform, the CTMA project applied the platform across multiple operational use cases like Bills of Material (BOM360), which offers a comprehensive, holistic perspective on all data related to a specific Bill of Materials.
- The modeling and simulation use case for the Virtual Test Stand, which aims to speed up testing for vibration, shock, thermal, and electromagnetic compatibility, was also completed.
