Digital engineering and digital technology provide a way to develop, modify, and test new technologies quickly with data integration, collaboration, and reduced costs. Because of its benefits, the DoW are quickly adopting technologies like NCMS’s Digital Enterprise (DE) to help with research projects. Two such projects conducted in the CTMA program including developing removeable amphibious floatation devices and developing a “digital born” vehicle called XM-30.
- NCMS offers a digital ecosystem, called Digital Enterprise, which offers cutting-edge capabilities aimed at helping partners accomplish their most important digital transformation objectives.
- A project meant to expand amphibious capability by designing removeable amphibious floatation devices that use DE for e-design, virtual prototyping, ideation visualization, and subject matter expert evaluation.
- A project where the XM-30 vehicle was designed virtually utilized DE’s abilities to collaborate, share unclassified sensitive information, convert 2D drawings into 3D models, run simulations, and test software.
