Winners of the Latest Maintenance Innovation Challenge Chosen During DoW Maintenance Symposium
The Overall Award of annual DoW Maintenance Innovation Challenge, which takes place at the DoW Maintenance Symposium, went to Grey Gecko, LLC and the Grey Gecko Real-Time Inspection Tool (GRIT). The second award, the People’s Choice Award, went to the US Marine Corps Marine Depot Maintenance Command for the Advance Manufacturing Competitive Advantage Pathfinder. Both winners took home $50,000 for their efforts.
- The winners were decided by the DoW Joint Technology Exchange Group (JTEG) from 59 entries.
- GRIT is a battery-powered, handheld, infrared imager that detects corrosion, cracks, voids, and moisture beneath coatings.
- The Advanced Manufacturing Competitive Advantage Pathfinder provides an accredited digital backbone for transmitting sensitive data and data packages.
