Path Planning –The parts printed with the optimized path plan demonstrated superior properties, such as higher surface homogeneity. Safety, Quality, and Economics of AM Equipment – A decision-making framework for selecting bulk gas supply options and suppliers was successfully developed. Feedstock – Multiple powders were examined in this effort. Non-Destructive Testing and Process Monitoring – With the cold spray system calibration setup developed previously by Solvus Global the team collected 128 data points of which 67 are categorized as golden sprays and 61 are non-golden sprays.
