The Digital Manufacturing Exchange (DMX) project successfully demonstrated that secure, distributed, and no‑file‑at‑rest advanced manufacturing was technically and operationally feasible for the DoW. This achievement confirmed the viability of protected, on-demand part production in contested and disconnected environments where traditional logistics pathways were compromised.
