EVENT DETAILS

Join us at Marine Depot Maintenance Command for the NCMS Technology Showcase!  This exclusive Technology Showcase is being held in coordination with the Organic Industrial Base (OIB) Commanders and Leaders Peer to Peer conference.  NCMS, in partnership with Marine Depot Maintenance Command, is hosting the Technology Showcase June 10–12 on base at Marine Corps Logistics Base Albany, in Albany, GA.

Exhibitors at the showcase will have the opportunity to meet with artisans and leadership from the depot maintenance complex, which provides worldwide expeditionary logistics support as well as depot-level maintenance support for rebuild, repairs, engineering solutions, modifications and more.  They will also have a unique opportunity to meet with Senior Department leaders’ responsible for maintenance and sustainment policies and programs in support of major weapon systems and military equipment.

The OIB is a collection of government-owned industrial facilities that consist of arsenals, depots, shipyards, and manufacturing plants that support critical military needs, such as ammunition production, equipment storage and disposal, and the repair of weapon systems and defense equipment. The OIB is essential for supporting the readiness of our nation’s warfighters.

OIB officials will be briefed on the CTMA program prior to entering the showcase. Exhibitors will not only gain high visibility for their products and services, but they’ll also learn about opportunities for collaboration among the leading technology experts who serve the Department of Defense (DOD).

To provide the most impact, actual demonstrations of capabilities when applicable are highly encouraged. If you have any questions about being an exhibitor, please contact eventsupport@ncms.org

How to get the most out of your participation at an NCMS Technology Showcase

Each exhibitor’s space will be visited by individuals representing Government, Industry, and Academia. Please have a prepared “elevator” description of your technology and how it will benefit maintenance and sustainment efforts. This prepared speech should engage your audience quickly. Be prepared to demonstrate your technology or offer a short presentation on how your technology works. Be sure that you have deliverables that speak to the benefits of your technology, and if possible, create handouts or other marketing collateral.

Actionable Items

  • Make sure your team has an elevator speech. Be prepared to describe your technology solution/service and its benefits in 30 seconds or less.
  • Demo, demo, demo! Demonstrations draw attention at the event.
  • Bring plenty of collateral!
  • Keep your exhibit space staffed. Traffic is unpredictable and intermittent, so plan to have a representative at your table during all show hours.
  • Refrain from packing up or leaving before the event ends. An empty tabletop reflects poorly upon your company/organization.
  • Online Directory: As a part of exhibitor registration, you are required to submit company and technical abstracts. To make a lasting impact, be sure to complete this package by submitting your logo and quad chart to eventsupport@ncms.org.

Best Practices for Submission of Exhibitor Materials

NCMS will provide attendees with an online Exhibitor Directory accessible to anyone with internet access.

Note that our government partners have requested that Quad Charts be submitted by all exhibitors. Those Charts will be the main place to profile your technology solutions. Even if you have previously submitted a quad chart, you must submit a new one with the Fillable Quad Chart Template linked below.

To make the best possible use of the online space for the directory, we ask that participating exhibitors follow these instructions:

  1. Submit a 150-word description of your technology solution.
  2. Submit a 100-word description of your organization.
  3. Download the pdf Fillable Quad Chart Template provided here, fill it out in Adobe Reader or Adobe Acrobat, and save it as a pdf with your company’s name in the file title.
    1. For Problem Statement, describe what problem the technology is meant to solve (app. 80 words maximum)
    2. For Solution Statement, describe the technology product or service (app. 80 words maximum)
    3. For Benefits Statement, describe the expected impact of the technology (app. 80 words maximum)
    4. For Graphics, insert 1 graphic saved as a jpg or png.

Quad Chart Explanation

Note: attempts to make the type smaller than 12 points so more text can fit in each quadrant will result in the submission being sent back. All quad charts must be uploaded with your exhibitor registration – see “Quad Chart Submission” section at the top of the righthand column.
