The US Army is partnering with industry and academia on a multi-phase CTMA initiative to modify a commercial-off-the-shelf advanced braking and suspension system to allow for integration onto a legacy military vehicle to demonstrate improved reliability, readiness, and safety and reduce maintenance and sustainment costs. This phase expands the lessons learned in previous phases and establishes new instructor, operator, and maintainer training plans and packages required to transition the advanced braking and suspension retrofit installation procedures across ten new Active Army and Army National Guard maintenance sites.
