The US Department of Defense is partnering with industry and academia on a multiphase CTMA initiative to speed the development of advanced additive technologies—namely, cold spray coating deposition technology—to enable the strategic goals of timely, affordable repair and restoration of critical assets.
Phase V objectives include:
- field command and control technology and associated user training for NESAR identified technologies that enable the strategic goals of timely, affordable repair and restoration of critical assets to support fleets, and ultimately the end consumer or warfighter.
- expand the scope of this general effort to include:
- Command and control aids
- Agile workforce training, education & development
