The US Department of War is partnering with industry and academia on a multi-phase CTMA initiative to fully integrate the B-1 Lancer into a digital engineering environment. This initiative will use the B-1 to provide a methodology that exemplifies how to build detailed digital twins for legacy vehicles where significant technical data is missing.

Phase V will build upon the successes of earlier phases and focus on:

  • increasing the fidelity of the digital twin
  • exercising the digital tools to support sustainment and modernization challenges identified by the B-1 SPO
  • performing fleet safety with the digital engineering toolset to address emerging findings in the full-scale test, field and depot
  • enhancing and validating the main landing gear model through test to refine the external load set

If you feel your organization has the technical capabilities and would like to be considered for this project, please complete the form below and upload your organization’s technical capabilities statement.

Interested Submissions Due by 6/24/26.
