The US Department of Defense is partnering with industry and academia on an initiative to demonstrate a digitized system to optimize resources and throughput to achieve key performance metrics. The overall goal is to provide a standardized suite of digital tools to simulate current/future state process and effects of process changes.

Specific goals include:

• collect standard data across at least two manufacturing value streams at a specific facility
• create a process roadmap that can be used by OIB installations to modernize theirmaintenance and sustainment facilities and improve work task processes
