The US Department of War is partnering with industry and academia on a multiphase CTMA initiative to demonstrate a digitized system that will optimize resources and throughput to achieve key performance metrics. The overall goal is to provide a standardized suite of digital tools capable of simulating current- and future-state processes and evaluating effects of process changes. The simulations developed and demonstrated under this effort must integrate with existing Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems to achieve economies of scale and operational synergies across sites.

Phase III will build on Phases I and II by conducting digital 3D point cloud scans of diverse manufacturing, maintenance, and sustainment environments.
