The US Department of Defense is partnering with industry and academia on a multiphase CTMA initiative to advance the state of the art in the qualification and testing of advanced coatings through digital models.
Using various wheeled and combat vehicles as surrogates, this initiative will leverage new testing techniques, data collection processes, and design tools to develop and assess emerging advanced signature management coatings and application techniques required to enhance components and reduce visual and infrared signature of vehicles. Special emphasis will be placed on determining advanced coatings which can prolong corrosion protection and reduce vehicle visual and thermal signature in extreme environmental conditions.
Phase II will leverage lessons learned and deliverables from Phase I by applying advanced coatings and applique signature management solutions to various vehicle platforms and characterize and assess their performance and corrosion resistance in lab and operational environments.
If you feel your organization has the technical capabilities and would like to be considered for this project, please complete the form below and upload your organization’s technical capabilities statement.
Interested Submissions Due by 11/5/25.
We encourage participation of Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs), including Minority Business Enterprises (MBEs) and Women’s Business Enterprises (WBEs).
