The US Department of Defense is partnering with industry and academia on an initiative to leverage the power of Generative AI to enhance the efficiency, agility, and resilience of the Defense Logistics Agency’s (DLA) supply chain operations. Specific objectives include:

• Demonstrate and evaluate the practical application of Gen AI solutions to address specific DLA use cases: This will involve identifying high-impact areas within DLA’s business and supply chain operations where Gen AI can drive significant improvements.
• Develop and deliver supporting materials and technologies: Industry will work closely with DLA J68 to provide participating vendors with the necessary resources and technical expertise to effectively develop and deploy their Gen AI solutions.
• Demonstrate the potential of Gen AI to enhance DLA’s operational efficiency and effectiveness: Successful pilot programs will showcase how Gen AI can optimize processes, reduce costs, and improve the overall performance of DLA’s supply chain, ultimately contributing to a stronger and more responsive national defense.
