The US Department of War is partnering with industry and academia on an initiative to leverage current best practices across the Defense Industrial Base (DIB) to create and demonstrate a standardized, executable process to enable new commercial partners to operate in secure environments. The primary objective of this effort is to demonstrate the ability of commercial industries to utilize DIB security practices to elevate commercial security standards.

Key objectives include:

Enable commercial organizations to more effectively engage with the DIB
Translate DIB security best practices into scalable commercial infrastructure models
Reduce barriers to entry for companies developing secure environments
Improve protection of intellectual property and reduce insider threat risks
