The US Department of Defense is partnering with industry and academia on an initiative to provide research support and actionable recommendations to the Industrial Base Policy Branch, closing critical knowledge gaps and establishing a framework for effective future policy design and implementation.
The industry team will be expected to employ a blend of qualitative and quantitative research methods to generate a range of targeted deliverables. These will include:
- conducting literature reviews
- conducting research interviews with government, industry, and acquisition experts
- organizing roundtable events to foster discussion and gather data
- analyzing public datasets and creating actionable data visualizations
- presenting findings through sponsor briefings
