The US Department of Defense is partnering with industry and academia on an initiative to advance the state-of-the-art in analysis, facilities modernization, advanced immersive simulations, and communication tools and processes to demonstrate new training solutions that optimize individual and crew performance and training system facilities and simulator availability.

The overall goal is to demonstrate a safe and optimized ready relevant learning ecosystem that train personnel in unique skills and knowledge directly applicable to their current roles, ensuring that what they learn provides value and contributes to operational effectiveness and the quality of maintenance activities for the equipment they operate and maintain. Special emphasis for this effort will be on providing modernized facilities to ensure the space, technology, and infrastructure needed to support advanced instruction, realistic simulations, and hands-on practice with the latest equipment.
