The US Department of War is partnering with industry and academia on a multiphase initiative to advance the state-of-the-art in analysis, facilities modernization, advanced immersive simulations, and communication tools and processes to demonstrate new training solutions that optimize individual and crew performance and training system facilities and simulator availability.

The overall goal is to demonstrate a safe and optimized ready relevant learning ecosystem that trains personnel in unique skills and knowledge directly applicable to their current roles, ensuring that what they learn provides value and contributes to operational effectiveness and the quality of maintenance activities for the equipment they operate and maintain. Special emphasis for this effort will be placed on providing well-equipped training sites, certified instructors, and modular learning programs.

Phase III will focus on providing critical aviation technical and maintenance training capabilities. This phase will enable curriculum advancement to occur simultaneously with facility modernization. The industry team will be expected to have expertise in installing electrical and network infrastructure, facility modernization, training and simulation systems, and curriculum development.
