The US Department of Defense is partnering with industry and academia on an initiative to establish a multifaceted set of tasks to transform and modernize the DOD Source Approval Request (SAR) process to align with government digital modernization efforts. This pilot project will include development of a transformative IT solution and infrastructure for holistic management of the DOD SAR process.

The industry team will be expected to conduct a series of studies that include identification of processes, data integration requirements, and IT cyber security requirements to ensure the viability of a public facing solution that aligns with DOD requirements. The goal will be the production of a mapped-out solution set including funding, resources, and phased development map.
