The US Department of Defense is partnering with industry and academia on a multiphase CTMAinitiative to demonstrate a streamlined workflow process that can support process transparencyand transform and modernize the DOD Source Approval Request (SAR) process to align with government digital modernization efforts.

During Phase I, the project team created an initial industry pilot and a government Minimum Viable Product and demonstrated Product Lifecycle Management integration. Phase II will progress these achievements into a cohesive test environment for end-to-end SAR simulation with live actors, demonstrating its ability to provide real time status of the SAR and offer two-way communication for maintenance and sustainment activities.
