The US Department of War is partnering with industry and academia on a multi-phase CTMA initiative to create a repeatable end to end process for capturing, off loading, and analyzing Predictive Logistics (PL) data from a specific type of vehicle’s platforms. This includes defining the vehicle analytical data model, integrating the Security Enhanced Maintenance Support Device (SE MSD) for secure data transfer, and establishing the Concept of Operations that moves PL data from the vehicle to enterprise databases and on to commanders in the war fighting mission area. The overall goal is to use real time health insights to improve repair and maintenance practices and to adjust mission plans based on anticipated sustainment needs such as fuel, ammunition, and spare parts.

Phase VII will focus on validating and solidifying the PL warehouse-to-warfighter proof of concept to codify a successful interconnectivity by focusing on six areas to determine its overall success.
