Project Announcement: Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning Applications for Data Analytics – Phase V

The US Department of Defense is partnering with industry and academia on a multiphase CTMA initiative to assess and demonstrate 1) the impact of an agile software solution that supports decision making through data analytics using AI/ML techniques and 2) their effect on modernization, maintenance and sustainment, and readiness of current and future operations.  Specific goals for the software are to:

  • Demonstrate advanced analytics algorithms through implementation into information management tools.
  • Enable real time analysis and interpretation of diverse data sources to derive actionable intelligence.
  • Ensure interoperability and compatibility with existing systems and infrastructure.
  • Demonstrate the effectiveness of modern AI/ML capabilities and their impact on organizational decision making.

Phase V will build on the successes of earlier phases, with a focus on preparation of predictive models to forecast future trends and potential operational bottlenecks based on historical data.
