Project Announcement: Vehicle Health Management System (VHMS) – Phase VI

The US Department of Defense is partnering with industry and academia on a multi-phase CTMA initiative to identify a process to analyze data that is off-loaded from a specific type of vehicle’s platforms, define the model associated with vehicle analytical data, integrate the Maintenance Support Device (MSD) for vehicle data off-loading, and define the Concept of Operations associated with end-to-end predictive logistics (PL) data transfer from vehicles to the enterprise.

For Phase VI, specific objectives include:

  • Develop plans, user documentation, and provide support for a planned Project Convergence Capstone 5 integration event.
  • Coordinate with specific OEMs to implement data collection fixes based on issues found by previous data analyses.
  • Analyze new PL data types collected from vehicles fielded with updated platform software and disseminate data knowledge.
  • Assess emerging requirements for PL and define additional platform capabilities that are needed for compliance.
  • Coordinate and advise on recommended data analysis tool capabilities to support vehicle PL efforts.
  • Evaluate on-going prognostic initiatives and provide an independent assessment.
  • Evaluate requirements for digitized platform supply management integration with field systems and provide proposed systems architecture.
