Design work has come to completion as the autonomous surface vessel NightTrain, developed by a CTMA initiative, received its keel laying ceremony this January. A keel laying ceremony is a centuries-old tradition that marks the beginning of a ship’s construction. Once constructed, the NightTrain project, which launched in August 2025, will move on to its next phase.

- NightTrain was designed to reduce risk to personnel by transporting and delivering important cargo without reliance on ports, cranes, aircraft, or protected infrastructure.
